The Great Alignment

Hey there, gorgeous 💓
Welcome back to your weekly dose of Modern Mom Weekly!
What is one word or phrase that ALWAYS comes to mind when we enter a brand new year? For me, it’s New Year’s Resolutions.
I used to be big on making a New Year’s Resolution list. 📝 I would go into the new year feeling so pumped and motivated to tick every resolution off one by one but just like 99.99999999% of people, by the time Easter Weekend rolled around I’d forgotten all about that list. So, instead of New Year's Resolutions I now say that I have goals that I want to achieve. Sometimes, in order to change the energy behind something it’s just a matter of changing your language.
That, and coming in alignment with it. 💫
When you align yourself with your goals and desires you are basically positioning yourself in a way that allows you to attract - or achieve- them successfully. Elizabeth Dhokia explains it so well:
“When we operate from a place that honours our core values we tend to find that life flows with ease, the decisions are easier to make, that we are able to focus on staying in our lane. This is what alignment is.”
“Alignment is when our thoughts, life-choices, and direction all honour our core values. Alignment is when we listen to our intuition and move through the world embodying our true selves. Alignment is function and action with ease.”

I am a huge believer in manifestation 🙏 and so, for me, this type of language makes a lot of sense and it just… feels good. But I know some people can find it a little… eccentric and even unrealistic and so, for the left-brain thinkers, I will provide more logical definitions of “alignment”:

So, how dó we go about aligning ourselves with our goals and desires? 🤔
Here are some things that we can do to align ourselves with our goals and desires this year:
1. Get Clear on Your Vision ✍️
Write down your goals and desires in detail. Be specific about what you want to achieve, why it matters, and how it will feel once it’s achieved.
Create a vision board or a visual representation of your goals. Add images, quotes, and affirmations that inspire you.
2. Develop a Daily Mindset Practice 🧘♀️
Set aside 10–15 minutes every morning for reflection or journaling. Focus on gratitude, progress, and what you’re excited about.
Start each day with meditation or visualisation to tune into the energy of your desires.
3. Take Inspired Action 📆
Break your big goals into smaller, manageable steps, and schedule them on your calendar. Celebrate small wins to keep yourself motivated.
Tune into your intuition and follow nudges or sudden inspirations, even if they don’t make sense immediately.
4. Trust Divine Timing ⏱️
Be patient with yourself and your progress. Keep showing up even if results aren’t instant.
Release control and surrender the “how” to God. Practice faith and trust through prayer, journaling, or gratitude rituals.
5. Stay in High Vibration ♥️
Surround yourself with positive influences—uplifting books, podcasts, and people who inspire you. Avoid negativity and energy-draining habits, a.k.a “energy vampires”.
Spend time in nature, practice breath-work, explore creative activities or do things that you really enjoy doing.
Staying in alignment with our goals and desires is so much easier when we allow ourselves to be guided by our intuition and we can only do that once we tune out the outside noise and listen to that still small voice.
I hope you found this newsletter inspiring and that you feel motivated to go after that desire that you’ve been secretly fantasising about for years!
Please share this with a friend or loved one that you think might benefit from this week’s topic. 👭
See you next week bestie!
